Yarmony Creek Sport Horses
The Greater Flattops Wilderness provides the majestic backdrop for Yarmony Creek Ranch, nestled along a scenic byway following the Colorado River in Colorado's Rocky Mountains. With 350 acres of lush green pastureland, this idyllic setting is home to Yarmony Creek Sport Horses.
This is much more than a breeding business. Owner Tricia McConathy and her ranch experts are dedicated to finding the best home for each young horse bred and expertly trained from birth at the ranch.
Breeding and showing warmbloods is an extension of Tricia's lifelong love for horses. As a young girl Tricia dreamed of owning her own horse, and, thanks to her family, she got this chance when she was 10 years old. Beginning in western pleasure and barrel racing as a young girl, Tricia eventually discovered hunters as an adult. She has dedicated the last 14 years to learning the hunter/jumper disciplines and acknowleges that it, "takes a lifetime of learning."
Today, Tricia shares her love and passion for warmbloods with others through Yarmony Creek Sport Horses; breeding exceptional young warmbloods from the heart.

"Today, I still consider it a privilege to be able to ride them, care for them, and own them right here at the ranch. And it is my goal to ensure that each horse I raise goes to a suitable and nurturing home."
Yarmony Creek Sport Horses raises all our young horses with the purpose of reaching their full potential.
"I enjoy being hands-on in the education of a young horse as it develops into an adult."
Every young horse is personally and expertly handled from birth, and is patiently taught many lessons; proper preparation, learning respect from the trainer, grooming in cross ties, loading in the trailer, acceptance of body clipping, bathing, and farrier work, or working in the round pen at liberty with a focused commitment to excellence. Beyond these examples of steps taken to familiarize a young horse with their new world, we offer the professional expertise necessary to provide a solid foundation for the young horse's future career.
