Crescende is a 2000 liver chestnut Hanoverian Mare by Contucci-Romance/Rio Grande and is registered with the American Hanoverian Society and placed in the Main Studbook. In the American Hanoverian Magazine Fall 2005 issue she is described this way: “This mare has a lovely neck coming out of the top of the withers with an unbroken curved line to the throatlatch area, and a beautifully proportioned frame and topline.”

Her sire Contucci is a 1993 liver chestnut, Hanoverian 16.3 ½ hands carries the stallion lines of Caprimond-Lungau-Akzent II and is currently owned by Hilltop Farm. He was the 2005 USEF Dressage Breeding Stallion of the Year. At this date, Cuntucci finished 2nd in USEF’s Leading Dressage Sires for 2008.

Crescende’s dam, Romance is out of the performance sire extraordinare Rio Grande. Rio Grande’s offspring are very well known for their wonderful dispositions, outstanding athletic abilities and their versatility. Rio Grande is one of the few stallions who really puts a stamp on his offspring. Rio Grande has sired some of the best Hunters currently showing in the US such as Rio Bronco, Rio Renior, Eye Remember Rio, Rave and Due North.

“Callie” has finished her showing with Philip Dreissigacker in the First Year Green Hunters for the 2008 season in Colorado. Beginning in 2009 they will begin showing in the Second Year Green Hunters. She is in foal by embryo transfer to the Hanoverian Stallion Cabalito due mid May 2009.
